Lavender Fields Forever

Over the weekend we ventured off of Bainbridge Island to the Olympic Peninsula, for a mini road trip and some beautiful sights. My dear friend Jesse came over from Seattle in the morning, and we loaded up the babies and hit the road! We headed to Sequim, WA, which has the largest lavender festival in North America. It was incredible to see the rolling hills of purple flowers. You immediately felt calmer in their presence. And the fragrance! It was majestic.

We loved the quaint Purple Haze Farm where you can play with bunnies, check out their chickens (and peacock!) and enjoy some lavender ice cream. The babies crawled around in the grass and were mesmerized by the lavender and bumble bees. The rain let up as we arrived and returned as we left; it was a perfect day!

Most of the lavender farms are open until Labor Day, so be sure to get over to Sequim before the blooms are gone! Let me know if you make the trip! Enjoy!
