The Nothernmost Point

When we visited the coast recently on our camping trip, we set out to hike the Cape Flattery Trail. This hike is not that difficult, as you can see from the photos, I did it in sandals! It is about a mile and a half round trip, and the final destination will take your breath away! Those are always my favorite hikes. The hike takes you to the northernmost point of the continental US, with gorgeous little lookouts and boardwalks along the way. The caves, cliffs and beautiful waves can all be enjoyed from above. Making for some seriously stunning scenery!

Even though the hike is under 2 miles, I swear it took us nearly 2 hours because we got stopped by every. single. hiker! Everyone had to stop and love on Mr. Jet Pup! They would ask his breed, his age and where we got him. (Black lab/corgi, 6 months, and the Kitsap Humane Society)! By the time people got the scoop on Jet, they would notice Julian on my back and need to know all about baby! It was such a beautiful hike, one that I can’t wait to do again next time we’re back on the coast.

Are you a hiker? Have you hiked Cape Flattery? I’d love to hear your thoughts! And as always, let me know if you try this adventure for yourself!

  1. Willem and I live hiking. Unfortunately, or work schedules haven’t lined up for a free months now and William was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis recently. Hopefully, once he starts talking the medication, his joints will feel better and we can start again. Cape Flattery is a beautiful little hike. It’s fun seeing your family enjoying our beautiful PNW. 🙂
